Hi Dave, Just checked out utube Nils Lofgren who does he remind me of? Cosby Stills & Nash? Can't think, Used to listen to Love when I was a student and floating, you can't find out about them much now. I know what you mean about nobody visiting your blog I got a visitor counter on mine and there aren't many interested. Keep painting Diana
there are just ttoo many little bloggers. Still it's nice to get the occasional comment. CSN are , I think, still occasionally playing as a band as well as as solo astists, I bought the recent cd by Steven Still it's not bad, I like Neill Young quite a lot. Nils Lofgren is not consistent in my view, some great stuff some not so great. You can find and listen to a lot on youtube, just type in an artist or song and often there it is, today listened to a little Vinegar Joe a fiesty british band that spawned two class solo artists Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer.
Just had an all day oil painting workshop which went well, 21 attended which was encouraging but tiring.
The oil painting workshop sounds interesting. What did you do, do tell more. What's your favourite medium? I just got 3 art books sent by Amazon.com incl. postage they cost me 25quid (second hand but you wouldn't know.) Which i think is brilliant.
my favorite medium is the one which is currently working! I do like oil paint but watercolour is great when it works (it often doesn't) people like oil painting thought I don't know if they are hesitant to use it at home because of the turps and potential mess but the oil days are usually well attended and financially not bad. I used to use acrylic a lot but haven't so much of late.
one of my sons describes me as a 'squatdwarf'(endearingly) but he is unnaturally tall with a shiney head so what does he know! I'm technically middle aged but have given up waiting for maturity to arrive! I like music a lot and am a little bit addicted to buying stuff I listened to as a youth on ebay, teach art to adults but lack confidence in the worth of my own achievements, would call myself a teacher who paints rather than an artist who teaches but am mildly determined to try harder!
