nevermind the quality

set myself the target of a painting a day to try and break the artistic impasse whatever one of them is, not sure of the quality but I done it!
monday; a shell, acrylic tuesday: Holy island with sheep (w/colour) sweet peas (oil)
Wednesday: another shell (shown here; watercolour)
Thursday bamburgh castle the sky is 'subprime' rather than sublime.
Friday: photographer looking at his photographs., acrylic.

never mind the quality!

listening to an instrumental album by Peter Frampton, newly acquired ( why does acwired need a 'c'?) from off ebay.

I would say something witty to finish with but am all out of it!
no the man is not full of wit.

here is the sheep painting '2nd coat' I though I might have spoilt it but although it could be better its not bad,

The other is a large painting I did yesterday evening at the art group, 2 sweet peas that a nice lady called Mary gave to my wife and which I photoed. again could be better but not bad, got some very nice comments and my kids all want somethjing like it in their rooms.

Was going to include some musings on how little decisions affect out lives such as this morning's choice of queue at Wilkinson's which turned out to be a slow queue. I watched as a lady who had joined the queue I rejected get served before me as did the two people after her, I timed the delay and I would have saved 2 and a half minutes if I'd chosen the first queu.e

Favorite lyric of the moment Joe Walsh, from the song: Life's been good so far ( I think) :

'I can't complain but I sometimes still do'

Don't we all?

still aiming to do a picture a day this week 3 so far, sofa sogood!

wellnow:

I feel that I've let myself lose the desire to paint so I am going to try and paint a painting a day this week in an attempt to break the thing that needs breaking.

here are: Holy Island from the north with sheep and a distant view of bambra casll, watercolour; more of a study than a finished painting. and a little acrylic picture of a shell.

not great ;buts a start.

Bought a cd off the internet :Spizz (best of) featuring two star treck inspired songs: where#s Captain kIRK?' AND sPOCK is missing; a haunting little tune.

Not that I was that much of a fan of early ST, preferred Star treck Voyager and Deep space nine or whatever it was called.

why do we paint anyway? perhaps mostly to keep us from bothering other people too much I recon.

felt bad about how little art I've been posting so here's a bit.

A page from my sketchbook oak tree and crows.

an adjusted sketch of Lindisfarne.

A painting that has been to Japan (sadly they sent it back) of a sign in tynemouth,

Another tree an oak tree from by Holywell Dene,

i'm having not well today and have a sore foot as well as a sore belly.

in fact It started badly when I gave my finger a nasty prick as I attempted to cut my toenails! why are scissors sharp at the end?: you don't cut with the end! so I blunted them on a brick.

Then I realised I was feeling quite unwell so had to miss work today, had a lie down then decided I was cold so slipped on my slippers to go downstairs and make a hot water bottle, felt a sting on my foot and lo and behold, a wasp in my slipper! funny thing is I often shake out my slippers of a morning just in case; though I always feel a bit silly doing so as we are not in Australia:home of numerous deadly stinging and biting things, but in North Shields, this time I wish I had.

Consoling myself by eating marshmallows and listening to Jethro Tull.

my argument against vegetarianism has always been the fixed notion that sheep would eat us if they could. Look at this one: is that a hungry look or what?

I went up a mountain and came down knackered.

/?????????????

this is the photo I meant to upload last time its been fiddled with. I like it.

I also had a picture of a sheep looking quizzical fro yesterday at the lake district where I went for a walk and kna.. properly tired myself out.
But I presses a key and lost that picture, I may try and find it again.

The painting is an old one and is a daylight version of the Indigo painting I exhibited recently. The dark one is better by far.

Anyway for some reason on the way back (possibly delirious from exhaustion) I was thinking about the usage of the word 'bugger'
I don't know if it is universal or a regional thing.

It comes from an abusive use of a derivation of Bulgarian.

Bugger! (I have hit my thumb with a hammer and it hurts somewhat.)
Bugger Bugger Bugger !!( I hit my thumb for a second time and it really hurts)
It's a bugger (this task is hard.)
Bugger it! (this task is too difficult: I shall desist.)
He's a bugger (he's a character; a lovable rogue.)
Bugger me! (dear me! I am astonished.)
This is buggered! (this item is completely broken) not to be confused with knackered- mostly broken.
Bugger off (needs no explanation.)
The wonders of the English language -I'll be buggered if I can understand it! it's a bugger!!!

Someone asked why I didn't include my email in blog, well I didn't want irate readers (any one of 3 I suspect0 to shower me with complaints but I shall give it a try you have to go to full profile and its somewhere there. I know some find the comments difficult to work or something.
