dead babies

is a song by Alice Cooper; don't you know, it's not as horrible as it sounds and like a lot of his early music is a bit of a morality tale designed to startle the unwary.

Anywy this strange sight caught my eye the other day as I cycled from Newcastle funny how the eye is drawn to small but significant shapes.

This on the other hand is a bit of a sublime sky over the golf course, the connection being completely accidental; that is Alice Cooper is an avid (if that's the right word), glofer or golfer or gopher: whatever....

That is the name of my son Oliver's band he asked me to do some imagery and this is what I came up wiht, acrylic on canvas, I am ready for something new now. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=289503557

this is a quickie I did in class a really interesting house in Cullercoats, I have always liked it especially when the sun is on it.
and some lovely evening clouds; it has been damp windy and at times sunny, good cloud weather.

easy as..

falling off a log, which is what I did earlier in the week, in fact I have been a tumbling illustration of two well known phrases, easy as etc and getting the shock of one's life' first for some reason I had a log in my garden and for another less sensible reason I thought this log would be good to stand on while attempting to clean a downstairs window, the log rolled, me too, in an undignified manner sprawling onto my back in my garden flattening a few plants in the process. Then later in the week while trying to fix a broke shower, I thought I had switched off the electricity, had dismantled the switch and was manually handling the wired when a rater painful sensation reminded me that the shower was in fact on a different and still live circuit! I think my rubber soled trainers may have prevented dire consequences! the shock of my life! well; one of them: I have had a few.

Anyway enough serious stuff what about art? here is another version of the Walkworth scene, a bit of a happier less intense picture I think, quite pleased with it. one day last week I went out in the sunny morning to find that Tynemouth had a resident cloud sitting on the sea front hence foggy photo's the first is a daytime equivalent of moonshine the second you need good eyesight to see- but I like it.

just checked and it looks like I haven't posted it: the semi- abstract, I got truly sick of the more literal rendering posted earlier poor show Dave!

caught by the fuzz

well not quite but someone -2 someones to be exact; phoned the police to say a man was acting strangely in a field! not as bad as it sounds, it was only me! taking photos of a farmhouse with attending trees which I have occasionally admired from my car and finally took time to stop, park and go and get some photos.

obviously I looked rather creepy creeping about like gollum in and out of the bushes looking for that perfect shot. well not really perfect you just get a bit cariied away, I have looked closely and can't see anyone looking out of the window looking worried that I am a potential terrorist on reconi.. reccc.. looking at the place.

can't quite remember if I have done anything to this painting since last posting it but her it is in its present probably unfinished state,
and here is a very nice poppy from my garden, if it wasn't for the light round bit at top left it might be a canny good phot. o
