do you ever read the back of a novel and feel well that's all I need to know.?

anyway if I ever wrote a novel:

THE LAST SANDWICH

OR: A BOY CALLED CUSTARD

A FICTITIOUS NOVEL OF FICTION BY A man CALLED dave

a boy with a rediculous name; named by accident when his father in the dilirium of joy at the birth of his son reached for novel names for boys but inedvertently picked up nouvelle cuisine for boys,

Abandoned as a child, Custard was saved from a life of hunger and ridicule by a merry but austere band of wandering caterers who brought him up as one of their own, teaching them all they knew about life and sandwiches.

But now tragedy beckons; in the year of the great flour crisis a mysterious stranger from the past threatens Custard's happy life and now he must break free and fend once more for himself, but will the skills learned from his rescuers prove sufficient against the gathering forces of darkness and stuff or will it prove to be....the last sandwich?

'a fiction wirer's fiction' - the daily smail

'if you only read one book this year, don't read this one'- the catering courier

'what on earth are we talking about?'- the man who wandered in from the street.

Something that has bothered my brain on and off for a while is: why do people have ugly dogs? If you have an ugly kid well that perhaps can't be helped (although perhaps you owe your spouse an apology for sullying the gene pool) but where there is choice ans I am no dog lover but there are it has to be admitted some handsome creatures in the canine mold, but you see these people waling around with what look like canine trolls, short stubby legs faces like demonic toads and you can't help but wonder!

Anyway lovely mist at the weekend artists love mist I should know I am one! and I love mist at least now and then, not everyday and all the time. down by the river almost nothing visible but a gentle sun through the fog and a little light and ripples on the water. tried to paint it. Here it is. this is a very quick watercolour of a subject for somestrange reason always attracts me: the shadow of a tree on a building. This is the library in Whitley Bay.
ps indignant ugly dog owners(that could be read in more than one way) kindly address all hate mail to an address other than mine, thank you!

self portrait in blancmange

will the craziness ever end, self portrait in blancmange, remember blancmange? it's wobbly!
I call this one arachnaphilia. this one doesn't deserve a title.

Thursday 7 February 2008

this is, I think, the final stage, stage 1-3 are in posting before last one (just look down!) quite happy with it. Not sure what to do next. take up knitting? this was a very distictive cloud from the other day.
nothing witty today: all out if wit, witless.
another word to avoind: oeuvre
also in section use with caution: prosaic as I usually say prosiac in error. Rhymes with brainiac, who I think was one of supeman's villainous adversaries if my memory serves me well.

the adventures of the old codger

the old codger's day was filled with descisions: umbrella or no umbrella; little dog or no dog; ride his bike? bike and dog? dog and umbrella? sometimes there were so many choices he was simply paralized and stood still all day. any resemblance to person or persons real or in the world of art are very possibly not imaginary.
